Life is Strange Reunion All Evidence Locations: Major Gumshoe Guide

Every optional evidence location in Life is Strange Reunion, chapter by chapter, plus how to unlock Major Gumshoe in a single playthrough.

Why "Optional" Evidence Decides Your Ending

The Major Gumshoe trophy is the one collectible in Life is Strange Reunion that punishes casual play. The game labels these clues "optional evidence," but they are anything but optional if you want the platinum, the 100% completion, or the strongest possible accusations during the finale. A complete Life is Strange Reunion all evidence run means sweeping the optional clue pickups across six scenes in one pass, and there is no cleanup pass afterward. Published guides disagree on both the count and the item set: PowerPyx numbers Optional Evidence #1 through #10, while Spire of Completion lists 11 and itemizes additional entries. Chasing Life is Strange Reunion all evidence is also the only collectible hunt that uses the time-rewind system as a safety net instead of a chapter-select menu, so the rules are different from photos, sketches, and podcasts.

Here is the part most players learn too late: explore scene does not count. If you load a scene through that feature and pick up a clue, the game will not credit it toward a single-playthrough run.

Life is Strange Reunion All Evidence Locations at a Glance

This is not just a bookkeeping difference over the Class Act bulletin board: PowerPyx already numbers the Fire Warning and the Protest Sign separately and ends at #10 with the Blueprint, while Spire of Completion reaches 11 with its own item list. Use one published mapping consistently and treat the other count as a source-scoped alternative until in-game evidence settles it.

Class Act to Fremont Street: The First Five Clues

Class Act is the densest optional evidence scene in the game, and it is entirely possible to leave it with zero of the three clues if you rush toward the fine arts building.

  • Fire Warning and Protest Sign: After Max finishes demonstrating the class assignment, walk a straight line to the small set of stairs on the far side of the quad. Turn left to face the bulletin board. Community walkthroughs are consistent on this point — interact with the board and page through all four pieces of paper, because two of them register as evidence rather than flavor text.
  • Reggie's Notes: Helping Reggie frame his shot of the Preppy Student is a required story beat, so you cannot skip him. While he takes the photo, check the notes lying on the nearby picnic table.

Open Mic Night only hides one clue in the bar, and it doubles as a podcast. Talk to Lucas at the back of the room, ask about his new novel, then turn around and take one of the Vox Populi business cards from the small table. Podcaster's note: community reports from a full 100% completion run suggest you do not have to sit through an entire podcast episode for it to register, so back out whenever you like.

Fremont Street gives you two clues in the same parking lot, and the map in particular is a common miss because the house is the obvious objective.

  • The Fremont Map is inside the cab of the large truck, on the passenger side.
  • The Inspection Flyer sits on the trunk of the blue car on the right side of the area outside the Abraxas house.

Admin Sleuth, Times in Turtle, and Mabon: The Last Four Clues

Admin Sleuth contains two clues that are easy to walk past because neither one advances the investigation.

  • Newspaper Article: In the library, find the History of the Occult volume near the fireplace wall and read it before returning to Loretta. Then ask her about Jack Parsons, which opens an article that counts as evidence. Nothing in the story forces this, so it vanishes if you move on.
  • Demolition Contract: Once Vinh leaves his desk, enter Owen's office and search the right-hand drawer before touching the computer or the phone. Do this first, every time.

Times in Turtle hides the Fireworks Receipt behind dialogue, not a prop. As Chloe, walk to the end of the bar that touches the wall, examine the box of fireworks, and choose the "ask" prompt. That triggers a longer conversation with Amanda, and the receipt is added quietly — the game never announces it.

Mabon holds the single most-missed piece of evidence in the game. After you leave the Hall of Secrets, a masked figure threatens Reggie with a sledgehammer and you must choose between distracting or attacking. Attack. The Blueprint falls out of the intruder's pocket only on that branch. Choose distract and you have locked yourself out of Major Gumshoe for the entire playthrough.

How to Verify Everything and Recover a Miss

You will know the run is intact when you reach the chapter literally titled All Available Evidence. Walk the whiteboards and inspect every board and pin, and Major Gumshoe will pop once the case wall is visibly full. Treat that scene as your audit: if the boards look thin, you missed something earlier.

Recovery is possible, but only with the right tool. Restart scene lets you reload from a specific chapter while keeping everything you already collected, so if the Blueprint is your only gap, restart at Mabon and push forward. Explore scene does not preserve credit, which is why so many players end up replaying far more than they need to. For a broader scene-by-scene breakdown, the GameSpew walkthrough of Life is Strange: Reunion covers every chapter, and TheGamer's optional evidence location guide walks the same clues by scene.

One more structural note on the endgame: during Max's decision in the principal's office, accuse Vinh to unlock Second Chance and keep the Super Max rescue route intact. PowerPyx's trophy roadmap ties Vinh to both trophies, and the plot reference identifies Vinh as Max's culprit. The GameSpew walkthrough states only that its playthrough chose Owen, which does not establish Owen as the correct rescue-route suspect. For Chloe's accusation, name Ren to Noelle.

Life is Strange Reunion All Evidence FAQ

Can I mop up missing evidence with chapter select? No. Explore scene will not credit optional evidence toward the trophy. Use restart scene instead, which preserves prior pickups, and finish the run forward from the earliest chapter you need.

How many pieces of optional evidence are there in total? Scene tally under the PowerPyx mapping: three in Class Act, one in Open Mic Night, two in Fremont Street, two in Admin Sleuth, one in Times in Turtle, and one in Mabon. Spire of Completion adds entries such as a Class Act Newspaper Clipping and a Protest Flyer, which is one reason its total reaches 11.

When does Major Gumshoe actually unlock? When you inspect the completed whiteboards in the All Available Evidence scene, provided every optional clue was collected in that same playthrough.

Which choice is required for the Blueprint? Attack the masked intruder in Mabon. Distracting him costs you the final piece of evidence and the achievement with it.

Run this Life is Strange Reunion all evidence checklist in order and the case wall builds itself. Miss one clue and the game will not tell you until the whiteboards look wrong — so screenshot your progress as you go — the game autosaves, and there is no manual checkpoint to fall back on.
